DMUG Sub-Groups
The DMUG focus is on Manufacturing and Distribution companies who have licensed one or more of the Supply Chain products. Currently the DMUG has created sub groups around Customer Fulfillment Management, Manufacturing and Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Tools & Technology. These sub-groups are intended to provide focused networking, sharing of best practices, and feedback between members and PeopleSoft. Typically three sub-group sessions are provided at each DMUG Conference. Sub-groups meet simultaneously and it is a good idea to bring a cross functional team to each DMUG Conference to ensure adequate coverage.
Sub-group input on product/process enhancements
Each sub-group provides a forum focused on specific business processes and PeopleSoft product functionality. This includes new products and product enhancements which PeopleSoft should consider building to complement their existing product suite for a total industry solution. Sub-group product/process enhancement activities include:
- Collecting current functional issues between business processes and PeopleSoft product functionality
- Clearly defining current state vs. desired state (use of DMUG enhancement/issue form)
- Prioritizing enhancements through member voting (1 vote per company)
- Identifying the number of companies sponsoring the enhancement; who they are, and point of contact for each needed new functionality
- Providing feedback to PeopleSoft on the top enhancements
- Assisting in requirements finalization and/or testing
- Conferring via Email or teleconferences between meetings
